Connections in the high-current path loosen as they heat and cool through load cycles. Resistance climbs, the joint runs hotter, and the process feeds itself. AI workloads accelerate it, because the load is denser and less stable, shifting by rack and zone rather than holding steady.

The places this happens are the places least likely to be checked. Handheld thermal scans catch a developing fault only if someone is standing there at the right moment. Server-level telemetry reports what the hardware sees, not what the power path is doing on the way to it. Butlr monitors that path continuously, so a rising joint is detected before it becomes an event.

Coverage runs the full power chain: RPP, overhead busway tap-offs, the whip, and the rack PDU inlet, receptacles, and busbar joints. Above the rack and inside it, where server telemetry has no visibility.

Thermal digital twin

Your digital twin is a prediction, Butlr is the measurement.

Before go-live, compare measured thermal performance against your CFD airflow model and see where the hall behaves differently than designed. After go-live, keep the same map running. As load profiles shift, drift and new hotspots appear in the model without anyone going out to look for them.

Handheld scans sample the hall a few points at a time. Continuous mapping covers all of it at once and leaves a complete thermal record, so QA signs off on measurement instead of spot checks.
